I have been working for a community arts organisation for the last six years and am now working out a notice period, my post having been made redundant. I am now looking forward to being more`time rich' and am keen to spend it finding out more about groups and events of interst in the south side where i live. Three of my greatest interests are art, crafts and design (particularly upcycling furniture...and fabric), i have been happily working away in my own wee bit of garden for the last four years but really know nothing about what i'm doing and want to find out more. Another thing i plan to do is fit in an introductory course on environment that i have wanted to find the time to pursue for a couple of years. Suffice to say, it looks like a lot of the things urban roots are up to and capable of fit my interests and skills too. Perhaps we could meet?
