Because we love networking and collaborating,  and because we know we can’t change the world all by ourselves,  we’ve put together a selection on local,  national and global projects or organisations that we think you’ll be interested in.


Towards Transition Glasgow A collective of like minded people, communities and groups from across Glasgow and beyond who are preparing for a low-carbon future by addressing climate change and peak oil through positive action.


West End

Woodlands Community Garden  The garden aims to be a space of inspiration, from growing and composting to making low carbon lifestyle choices and a place to take a break from city life.

Dumbarton Road Corridor Environment Trust DRCET was established in 2004 to deliver community led sustainable regeneration in the West of Glasgow and in particular to work with the local community to help turn the Yoker,  Scotstoun and Whiteinch Environmental Vision into reality.

Coach House Trust  is becoming recognized as a major innovative organization in the field of mental health and environmental and social justice.



North Glasgow Community Food Initiative Our vision is to engage people in practical and sustainable food related projects that inspire health and well being amongst the diverse communities of North Glasgow.

Love Milton Love Milton has a simple but effective ethos:  we want everyone in Milton to voice their ideas for a better future and make a difference to our community.



Playbusters Grow Green with Glasgow’s East End is a project run by Playbusters which aims to promote the benefits of a more sustainable lifestyle in the east end.

Shettleston Community Growing Project The Shettleston Community Growing Project (SCGP) is a community garden site at 60 Eckford Street.



Legup We are LEGUP (Linthouse Elderpark Govan Urban Planting) a communal gardening group who work together to grow free food for the community.

GalGael At GalGael,  we have created a cultural anchor point around which local people are re-kindling skills, community and a sense of purpose.

Govan Folk University The Govan Folk University is the name under which five organisations based in Govan in Glasgow,  Scotland, are starting to join up areas of their work on learning that best serves the people of Govan and the wider community.

Friends of Kings Park We are a dedicated group of local volunteers who work closely with the Parks Department, local residents and schools to help implement and organise better facilities and events for residents to enjoy in Kings Park.

Ready Steady Grow Working together,  community groups (see the Groups page for your local group to join or contact) across Pollokshields are getting more and more residents involved in building gardening skills and improving communal green areas for everyone to use.

The Hidden Gardens The Hidden Gardens Trust was established in 2005 and exists to promote sanctuary,  peace and community cohesion at a local,  national and international level.

Cycling Organisations

Commonwheel  Common Wheel is a charity which provides meaningful activity for people with mental illness,  through working with bicycles and music.

Free Wheel Free Wheel North is a cycling development charity with a vision for a greener,  healthier,  safer Glasgow.

The Bike Station We have everything you need to get and keep you cycling!
