Key Conservation Volunteer: Community Woodland

Hours (flexible): Thursdays every week from 11.00am – 1:00pm

Hourly rate: This is an unpaid voluntary position

Are you a positive, motivated, and reliable person who can commit to a regular volunteering role in supporting the Woodland Officer in leading the volunteer group on conservation tasks to improve the local nature reserve for residents, visitors, and wildlife?

Key Garden Volunteer: Malls Mire & The Base Community Gardens

Hours (flexible): Tuesdays every week from 10.00 am – 1:00 pm & Wednesdays every week from 10.00 am - 1.00 pm

Hourly rate: This is an unpaid voluntary position 

Contract: Long-term, ongoing

Location: Urban Roots, Toryglen Community Base, G42 0LA

We hope that by joining our gardening groups as a key volunteer that you will be able to develop your horticultural skills and assist in the development and ongoing management of the gardens for both community residents and wildlife of the Malls Mire.

Urban Roots Volunteer Task Force

Hours (flexible): 1 day (3 to 5 hours) per month

Hourly rate: This is an unpaid voluntary position 

Contract: Long-term, ongoing

Location: Various sites across the Southside

​

The Urban Roots taskforce is a group of volunteers who complete big tasks for small urban green spaces to help community and habitat thrive! Group activities and projects cover areas including: horticulture, landscaping, woodland conservation & community engagement.

 

Our taskforce team involves a commitment of 1 day a month (3 ⁄ 5 hours) to provide help in creating and maintaining urban green spaces in the southside of Glasgow.

 

Join our taskforce, build practical skills and cultivate new relationships with the places and people of our dear green city.
